Liposuction Plastic Surgery Procedures - Greensboro, North Carolina

Inherited traits often prevent you from achieving your desired body shape. Even years of exercise may not give you the results you crave. For you and many others, the answer is liposuction, the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure. Liposculpture in Greensboro removes fat from various areas of your body. If there is an area of your body that you just cannot get in shape, think of liposuction as your spot reducer. Following your liposuction procedure with board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Contogiannis in the Piedmont Triad, you can expect a slimmer, more defined figure.

Your Individual Goals

During a private consultation, your liposuction procedure goals will be discussed realistically with Greensboro plastic surgeon Dr. Contogiannis. Together, you will decide which procedures she will perform to achieve your desired results.

About Liposuction Cosmetic Surgery – Piedmont Triad

For your safety and comfort, you will be asleep under general anesthesia during your liposuction procedure at our Piedmont Triad AAAHC accredited outpatient surgical center. Liposuction is used to remove fat from the arms, legs, torso, and/or face. Greensboro plastic surgeon Dr. Contogiannis begins by inserting a cannula (a slim, hollow tube) into small incisions near the area(s) to be re-contoured. The cannula is moved through the layers of tissue to remove excess fat. If necessary, once the fat and tissue have been removed, she stitches the incision and removes the excess skin.

There are several liposuction techniques for you to choose from:

Standard Tumescent Technique

The Standard Tumescent Technique injects fluid into your body, roughly the same amount as the fat to be removed.

Ultrasound-Assisted Lipoplasty (UAL)

UAL uses a specially designed cannula to liquefy the fat and suction it away.

Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL)

PAL is a new technology in which the tip of the suction cannula vibrates at a high frequency. The vibration helps loosen the fat cells so they can be suctioned away more easily.

Recovery from Liposuction in Greensboro
