If you’re noticing a sagginess in certain areas of the body due to childbirth, breastfeeding, aging or weight loss, BodyTite™ may be your new best friend. We’re pleased to provide BodyTite™ treatments for residents in Greensboro, NC, Burlington, Winston-Salem, High Point and surrounding neighborhoods.
What is Involved in BodyTite™?
BodyTite™ is a state-of-the-art technology similar to liposuction, utilizing radio frequency (RF) to improve body contours and reshape the body. The RF energy stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen, tightens the skin, and removes excess fat cells, creating a smoother, shapelier silhouette.
BodyTite™ is completely non-invasive and among its biggest advantages is that it requires no general anesthesia and leaves virtually no scars. The most effective tightening and contouring with BodyTite™ is usually done on the knees, thighs, breasts, arms and “love handles.”
How Much Does BodyTite™ Cost in Greensboro, NC?
Because BodyTite™ can be used in multiple areas around the body, cost varies between patients depending on how many areas are treated and how large those areas are.
Dr. Contogiannis will thoroughly discuss your specific case during your initial consultation and should be able to give you a more accurate cost assessment at that time. Many cosmetic surgeries are not covered by insurance, so it’s best to contact your provider to find out which procedures they will or will not provide coverage for.
At The Renaissance Center for Plastic Surgery & Wellness, we try to keep our procedures affordable for all of our clients. We’re pleased to offer financing as an option for your BodyTite™ procedure through Alphaeon® or CareCredit®.
How Does BodyTite™ Work?
A local anesthetic will be administered in the areas to be treated. A small cannula is inserted into a tiny incision and the BodyTite™ device sends RF energy into the tissues. The skin and tissue contract and the fat cells are liquefied and then suctioned up into the cannula to be discarded.
All this is done while maintaining a safe temperature on the skin’s surface and without harming any adjacent tissue.
What Are the Benefits of BodyTite™?
The benefits of BodyTite™ can be compared to the benefits of liposuction, but with additional skin tightening capabilities you don’t have with traditional lipo. Most patients are delighted with their dramatic results following their BodyTite™ treatment. Some common benefits include:
- Dramatic body contouring results
- Much improved self-confidence and self-image
- Smoother, tighter skin appearance
- Minimally invasive treatment means less bruising and soreness
- Little to no downtime needed for recovery
Am I a Good Candidate for BodyTite™?
If you’re a healthy adult within about 30 percent of your target weight and have a moderate amount of skin laxity, chances are you’ll be a good candidate for BodyTite™ treatments.
BodyTite™ should not be considered a weight loss treatment. While you may lose a bit of weight, that’s not the primary goal of the BodyTite™ procedure.
BodyTite™ is generally not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or anyone with autoimmune issues, infections, or skin diseases.
What Can I Expect During Recovery Following BodyTite™?
Recovery time after a BodyTite™ treatment is generally fairly short. Most patients are back to their normal selves after only a few days. There may be some swelling or bruising, and a compression garment may help during the first couple of days.
Final results may not show up for about six months, but the results will last for years as long as you maintain your body at a steady, healthy weight.
You’ll be given post-procedure instructions and you should follow them closely in order to achieve the best results and the speediest recovery.
