FaceTite™

FaceTite is an advanced non-surgical solution for contouring the face and other small body areas. Like a facelift, it offers significant changes to the skin, leaving it more taut and younger looking, with diminished lines and wrinkles.

Unlike a facelift, FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that uses targeted radio frequency (RF) energy to melt fat and tighten the skin. The liquefied fat is then suctioned away through a small cannula, requiring only minimal incisions and drastically reducing post-surgical downtime.

Our Greensboro plastic surgeon, Mary Ann Contogiannis, MD, is highly experienced in helping our patients achieve the tighter skin and slimmer facial aesthetics they desire using FaceTite. To learn more about the procedure, please explore the informative sections below. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation with Dr. Contogiannis, please contact us today!

Who Is a Good FaceTite Candidate?

If you’re a healthy adult with a mild to moderate amount of loose skin who is looking for something less invasive than a facelift, you’re likely a good candidate for FaceTite.

Dr. Contogiannis will help make sure your expectations are in alignment with what’s possible during your consultation. From there, she can help you determine whether FaceTite is the best option to help you achieve your goals. If not, she can help you explore other alternatives that may serve you better. For patients interested primarily in skin improvement, non-invasive procedures such as laser skin resurfacing or skin tightening may be sufficient. For patients interested in more dramatic facial rejuvenation or who have concerns that go beyond skin laxity and excess fat, a more traditional surgical intervention may be recommended.

What Are the Benefits of FaceTite?

There are many benefits to having a FaceTite procedure done, and most patients are very pleased with their decision and the results. Common benefits include:

  • Drastically reduced risk of scarring compared to a traditional facelift
  • Little downtime is typically needed, and recovery is much faster
  • Significant improvement in confidence and self-esteem
  • Provides facelift results without facelift surgery
  • Smoother, tighter skin, and a younger-looking, rejuvenated facial appearance

What Can I Expect From the FaceTite Procedure?

FaceTite procedures are performed using either light sedation or local anesthesia. Radio frequency energy is directed by a small, fine cannula into specific, targeted areas. The RF heat stimulates collagen production, tightens the skin, and dissolves fat cells, which are then removed through the cannula. The skin surface remains at a safe temperature and the surrounding tissue remains unharmed.

What Is Recovery After FaceTite Like?

You’ll likely be able to see results immediately following the procedure, but the final outcome usually becomes most visible after around six weeks to three months. Since there is no general anesthesia necessary during FaceTite, patients can return home almost immediately after the procedure is done to rest and recover.

You may experience tenderness and swelling around the treated area(s) for a few days, but you should be able to return to your normal routines and activities in less than two weeks.

Dr. Contogiannis will give you personalized post-procedure instructions before you leave. In order to achieve the best results and the most efficient recovery, you should read and follow them closely.

How Much Does FaceTite Cost?

The precise cost of FaceTite is affected by variables that can differ from one patient to the next, such as the number of treated areas and the size of those areas. During your initial consultation, Dr. Contogiannis will thoroughly discuss your specific case, and we can give you a personalized cost assessment at that time.

In an effort to keep patient procedures as affordable as possible, we offer financing as an option for your FaceTite procedure through Alphaeon® or CareCredit®.
