Is the reflection in the mirror beginning to look more and more like a stranger—and one who’s way older than you are? Correcting those lines and wrinkles that make you look older is exactly what Juvéderm® was designed to do. The Renaissance Center for Plastic Surgery & Wellness is pleased to provide Juvéderm® treatments for residents in Greensboro, NC, Burlington, Winston-Salem, High Point, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
What is Involved in a Juvéderm® Treatment?
Juvéderm® is one of the family of dermal fillers and injectables we offer to help our clients battle the unwanted signs of aging. Juvéderm® is specially formulated to replace lost volume in the cheeks, as losing that volume can leave your face looking sunken in and aged. It also plumps up the lines and wrinkles around the mouth and lips.
How Much Does a Juvéderm® Treatment Cost in Greensboro, NC?
Your cost for Juvéderm® treatment will depend on the extent of your specific treatment, as well as other variables that may be factored into the final cost. Costs for your specific case will be discussed during your initial consultation and you’ll be given an accurate amount at that time.
Most cosmetic surgeries are not covered by insurance unless it’s for functional or medical reasons, so it’s likely you’ll be responsible for full payment for your Juvéderm® treatment.
We always try to keep our treatments and procedures as affordable as possible for our clients, so we’re pleased to be able to offer financing as an option for your Juvéderm® treatment through Alphaeon® or CareCredit®.
How Does Juvéderm® Work?
Juvéderm® is a gel-based substance containing a sugar substance found naturally in the body, called hyaluronic acid (HA). In the body, HA stimulates collagen production, which in turn triggers the production of connective tissue, the framework that “holds up” the skin. HA also attracts moisture to the skin tissue and helps hold it there.
As you age, HA and collagen production drops, which can cause the skin to begin drooping. This eventually causes lines and wrinkles to form.
Juvéderm® is injected into those areas where the skin is sagging, boosting the amount of HA the body has to work with, and working with the body’s natural processes to fill out the lines and wrinkles while at the same time hydrating the skin, leaving your skin smoother, supple, and younger-looking.
What Are the Benefits of Juvéderm®?
As you might imagine, most clients who opt for Juvéderm® treatment are thoroughly delighted with their outcomes. Some of the common benefits seen with Juvéderm® treatment include:
- Significant boost in self-confidence and self-image
- Smooth, rejuvenated skin tone and texture
- Well-defined, plump, luscious lips
- Long-lasting, immediately visible results
- Brief treatment period, minimally invasive, virtually pain-free, and very little if any downtime is needed
Am I a Good Candidate for Juvéderm®?
Most healthy adults can be considered a good candidate for Juvéderm®. There’s little risk of any allergic issues, since Juvéderm® uses HA, a natural substance already found in the body.
If you have skin damage due to sun exposure, you may want to ask about alternative options that may be a better choice for you. Dr. Contogiannis will help make sure your expectations align with what is attainable and realistic for your specific circumstances, so you’ll be thrilled with your results.
What Can I Expect During Recovery Following Juvéderm®?
Recovery time following your Juvéderm® treatment is only minimal. You’ll need to rest for the first 24 hours or so, and avoid sun, alcohol, makeup, and strenuous activity.
Optimal results will be seen once the swelling has subsided. For best results, be sure to read and adhere to any post-procedure instructions given to you following your Juvéderm® treatment session.
